SQLstream Makes Headlines in Adelaide Smart City Trials

SQLstream is participating in Cisco’s pilot program in the City of Adelaide, using streaming SQL analytics to process IoT data from LiDAR sensors.  The goal is to monitor and analyze traffic flow to reduce traffic congestion.

“These sensors will gather intersection-approach traffic information, such as location and speed of vehicles as well as pedestrians. With this information, tailored algorithms to recommend traffic light intervals can be recommended to improve traffic and pedestrian-crossing flow,” Cisco explained. – Corinne Reichert, ZDNet.com.
