A Parallel Coordinates dashboard takes two or more columns and draws parallel lines between them.
All Parellel Coordinates appear on the same vertical axis. As a result, if the range of one column is much higher than the others, smaller-valued columns may not be visible. Note: this applies all plot and dial panel types.
To generate a Parallel Coordinates dashboard:
|1.||Select the Parallel Coordinates tab in the Custom Dashboard commands.|
|2.||Select a column to serve as a Key Value. The key column is a partition key, a value to group the rows by, or in this case, the visualization of the rows. This column should have a limited number of values.|
|3.||Add columns to the Data columns field. |
Note: Columns should have values in the same range. Otherwise, the dashboard will not work properly.
|4.||Click the + icon to add the suggestion to the Script.|
|5.||Click the Dashboard icon in the script.|
|6.||The Parallel Coordinates dashboard opens.|
Once the dashboard opens, you can modify it with panel preferences or by modifying the layout.
