As an administrator, you may want to add $SQLSTREAM_HOME as both an environment variable and as a location on your system's path. $SQLSTREAM_HOME is defined as /opt/sqlstream/5.1.0XXX/s-Server when you install as sudo.

This will allow you to run sqllineClient and other tools from the command line, for example.

Note: On most Linux systems, one way to to add $SQLSTREAM_HOME to your system's path is by creating a script file in /etc/profile.d with lines of code similar to the following:

SQLSTREAM_HOME="/opt/sqlstream/5.1.0.15221/s-Server"

export SQLSTREAM_HOME

PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin:$JAVA_HOME/bin:$SQLSTREAM_HOME/bin

export PATH
