SQLstream's RAMMS Solutions and Applications

The heart of the SQLstream software for processing Relational Asynchronous Messaging (RAM) is the SQLstream RAMMS (RAM Management System). RAMMS is analogous to the RDBMS of the relational database world.

SQLstream's RAMMS allows you to extract the maximum value from your Dynamic Data Assets by

  • Aggregating down and combines voluminous data record streams into manageable and actionable compact data

  • Continuously processing streams of relational message flowing on the wire

  • Executing complex SQL operations in parallel over specified time-windows

  • Eliminating the latency of writing to disc and updating database indexes

  • Automatically determining which data have changed and forwards the results

  • Generating alerts to subscribers

SQLstream's RAMMS provides easy, low cost ownership, and facilitates reuse and leverage by

  • Running on commodity servers

  • Requiring little to no training for SQL familiar users

  • Supporting ANSI standard SQL:1999 and SQL:2003

  • Enabling the complex integration of systems with declarative SQL

  • Turning complex integration programming into high-level data management

  • Providing painless, self-optimizing and proven technology

SQLstream's RAMMS is further enhanced by its various related offerings, including:

SQLstream's RAMMS is capable of using modest servers to process thousands of simultaneous queries at rates of tens of thousands of messages per second. Each application's "mileage" will vary depending on the specific size and nature of the data messages, and on the number and nature of the SQL queries that are processing the data. (SQLstream has been measured as processing over one million messages per second internally for trivial queries, but this is not necessarily an applicable metric.)

SQLstream “optimizes the compromise,” allowing dynamic management and change of executing messages and streams even while concurrently generating company data streams and efficient execution objects.

SQLstream's RAMMS incorporates a world-class SQL cost-based optimization engine that guarantees correctness while transforming initial high-level RAM queries into lower-level but more efficient execution queries.

SQLstream's RAMMS can be configured for high-availability at additional hardware and third-party software cost.
